Video: Morrissey – “Kiss Me A Lot”

posted by Oscar April 6, 2015

Today the world’s favorite musical grump Morrissey delivered the video for his song “Kiss Me a Lot.” The visuals were directed by Sam Esty Rayner and flamenco-tinged tune is the perfect example of a minimalist approach to music videos. The hand-held cameras mostly focus on Morrissey and his band performing with the occasional cut-away to women clad in lingerie with the song title written on their bodies in different languages.

“Kiss Me a Lot” is the fifth single from Morrissey’s 10th solo studio album, 2014’s World Peace Is None of Your Business. Check out the video above.

Some very rare footage of a gig that former Smiths frontman Morrissey played with the band in 1988 has been unearthed. The thing is, for those less familiar with the band’s history, this took place AFTER they’d split up so Morrissey could pursue a solo career.

Apparently a Smiths reunion wasn’t always impossible.
