Metallica – ‘Live at The Apollo’

Metallica Live at The Apollo

One of the biggest bands ever played one of the most iconic venues in America last month (Sept. 21) and now the audio from that show has been made available for purchase. Metallica hit that NYC stage that acts like James Brown and Aretha Franklin made famous, The Apollo, and played a career-spanning “greatest hits” set list that was a monstrous display of the undying talent the veteran band still boasts. The band played songs like “Master Of Puppets,” Nothing Else Matters,” “Enter Sandman” and “Seek and Destroy,” making it a track-list any fan of the band would enjoy.

Video: Metallica – “Master Of Puppets” (Live) | ‘Through The Never’

Metallica was one of the most important bands to me back in my formative years and it’s cool to see these guys are still as relevant and impressive as ever. The clip above was recorded live in Canada in August 2012 and will be featured in the band’s new movie, Metallica Through the Never. It shows just how powerfully they perform and it’s more than evident why they’re one of the most important bands ever.
Metallica Through the Never will be released in IMAX 3D theaters on September 27, 2013 and all theaters nationwide on October 4, 2013.
