The latest episode of Marc Maron’s WTF podcast featured two bassists from two of the biggest bands of the last 30 years. Maron welcomed the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea and Metallica’s Robert Trujillo to his garage, as they pay tribute to the late bass legend Jaco Pastorious, who is the subject of Trujillo’s new documentary.

Also appearing on the episode is man of the hour, Aziz Ansari, who talks to Maron about his hit Netflix series Master Of None.

Robin Williams on WTF Podcast w/Marc Maron + Tributes

This past August 11, 2014 the world was left a bit less funny with the passing away of Comedian, Robin Williams. Tons of tributes have been made to honor the life of the famous comedian including the likes of Conan and Jimmy Fallon (all seen below), but one of the best things to surface has come to us via Marc Maron and his WTF Podcast. Maron has made available his April 26, 2010 conversation with Robin in which we hear about the comedian’s past, rise to fame and a look behind the curtain to his issues with some of the problems that led to his ultimate demise. We couldn’t get a more honest look at the comedian than this, thanks to Robin himself opening up and letting everyone in to his world. The intro includes Marc’s reflections about the great comedian and actor, which really hits you in the heart.

RIP Robin Williams.

Hot damn have we got an awesome comedy tour in our hands… The second annual ODDBALL COMEDY & CURIOSITY FESTIVAL, presented by Live Nation and Funny Or Die, has announced this year’s lineup and it delivers one that will make you immediately excited about seeing when they will hit your town.

The roster for the 2014 edition of the world’s biggest comedy tour boasts Louis C.K., Aziz Ansari, Marc Maron, Bill Burr, Chris Hardwick, Dave Attell, Demetri Martin, Hannibal Buress, Jeff Ross, Amy Schumer, Jim Gaffigan and Sarah Silverman. Some of the other notable acts that are part of this lineup include Jim Jefferies, Julian McCullough, Michael Che, Moshe Kasher, Reggie Watts, Ron Funches, Rory Scovel, and Whitney Cummings.

This year’s festivities include 21 dates in all, kicking off on Aug. 8 at Tampa, Fla.’s MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre and finish off Austin’s Austin360 Amphitheatre. Like last year, Oddball 2014 will include two stages, the return of the Cut Throat Freak Show, a roaming troupe of misfit performers, tasty treats, libations and more.
