Mac DeMarco Announces Fall North American Tour Dates

Mac DeMarco has announced a string of fall North American tour dates in support of his third full-length album, This Old Dog, out now on Captured Tracks. DeMarco and his band will be hitting the road to play major shows  by all measures, so of course these are some of their biggest headline shows to date. The Hollywood Palladium, SummerStage, Central Park, and Red Rocks have all made the cut for the 2018 trek. All dates are on-sale this Friday at 11am EST.

Mac will also tape his debut performance on Austin City Limits Season 44 on Tue. Feb. 27th. Don’t miss it.

Mac DeMarco is officially a big-time player now, seeing how the charming dude made his network television debut yesterday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. DeMarco hit the stage to perform “One More Love Song,” off his 2017 album This Old Dog.

Mac DeMarco Shares Video for “One Another” and Announces Radio City Music Hall Show

Mac DeMarco has been keeping busy since releasing This Old Dog, his third full-length album including a sold-out tour through North America and appearances at festivals like Primavera Sound in Barcelona and NYC’s Governors Ball.

Today, Mac has shared the news that his first New York headline show in support of the latest record will take place this coming September 22nd at the iconic Radio City Music Hall, but before that he will be making his first network television debut will be this Friday, June 9th on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon!

The good news doesn’t stop there, as the British Columbian has also released a new music video for his song “One Another.” In this visual we find old dog DeMarco “rock one more time” with an unlikely new pal: Death.

Recap: Mac DeMarco at the Vic Theatre

Mac DeMarco and his Spring 2017 tour came to Chi city this week, helping spread some good vibes to The Vic Theatre. The master of Chill Wave couldn’t come on a better day, with Chicago having (insufferably) warm weather that Tuesday evening, making for a perfectly swamp-y environment that was so well-suited to jam to the smooth stylings of everybody’s favorite British Columbian.

Mac exuded charm, with his low-key demeanor and his playful, gravelly whispers in between songs. During the breaks after performing live renditions of opening number “Salad Days,” plus crowd pleasers like “For The First Time” and “This Old Dog,” he made sure to periodically pay homage to Chicago. At one point he asked which place had the best Italian beef in town, so among the chants of Al’s and Portillo’s, of course someone shouted out Subway.  Continue Reading

Our favorite wavy weirdo, Mac DeMarco has announced his follow-up to Salad Days released back in 2014: This Old Dog, due out May 5th via Captured Tracks. With the announcement of his third album, DeMarco has unveiled the accompanying North American tour and has shared not one, but two lead singles!

Governors Ball 2017 Lineup Announced feat. Chance the Rapper, Tool, Phoenix, Childish Gambino

The Governors Ball Music Festival today announced their 2017 lineup and it features Tool, Chance The Rapper, Phoenix, and Childish Gambino on the top of the bill.

Some of the other notable names on the roster include Lorde, Flume, Wu-Tang Clan, Logic, Cage The Elephant, Mark Ronson vs. Kevin Parker (of Tame Impala), Schoolboy Q, Franz Ferdinand,, Mac DeMarco, Charli XCX, Royal Blood, Danny Brown, Kehlani, The Orwells, and Zane Lowe. Coachella 2017 Lineup Announced feat. Radiohead, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar

Happy New Year to you! Coachella have announced the 2017 lineup and once again they brought out the big guns with Radiohead, Beyoncé, and Kendrick Lamar all headlining.

Some of the other notable acts playing the festival this year include Lorde, Travis Scott, Father John Misty, Mac Miller, Hans Zimmer, Phantogram, Mac DeMarco, Bon Iver, Future, ScHoolboy Q, Gucci Mane, Tory Lanez, Majid Jordan, Kehlani, Galantis, Kaytranada, and Whitney. As has been the case in recent years, the festival will run on two weekends, with the 2017 edition of the festival taking place on April 14-16 and 21-23 at Empire Polo Field in Indio, California.

Another one of the world’s biggest music events of the year has revealed its 2016 lineup. The UK’s Glastonbury Festival will welcome artists like Adele, LCD Soundsystem, Coldplay, Muse, Jeff Lynne’s ELO, and Disclosure to Worthy Farm in Pilton, England this coming June 22-26.

Other notable acts on the bill are acts that we’ve featured on POD like Beck, Santigold, Vince Staples, AlunaGeorge, Hinds, CHVRCHES, Kurt Vile, Wolf Alice, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Jake Bugg, and Mac DeMarco. The second installment of Canada’s WayHome Music & Arts Festival will be hitting Oro-Medonte, ON from July 22nd to the 24th and today we get to learn the lineup. The headliners are the recently reunited LCD Soundsystem, Canadian icons Arcade Fire, and The Killers.

Also on the bill are Major Lazer, M83, FKA twigs, Future, The Arcs, and Vince Staples. See the full lineup above.

Sasquatch! 2016 Lineup Announced, feat. The Cure, Alabama Shakes, Disclosure

The 2016 lineup for Sasquatch! Music Festival has been revealed and it will be headlined by the likes of Florence + The Machine, The Cure, Disclosure, and Major Lazer. The 15th anniversary edition of the fest will take place over four days at the Gorge in George, Washington over Memorial Day Weekend (May 27th – 30th).

Also appearing on this year’s lineup will be heavy-hitters like Alabama Shakes, ASAP Rocky, Sufjan Stevens, M83, Grimes, Jamie xx, Mac DeMarco, Big Grams, Vince Staples, and Vic Mensa. See the rest of the lineup in the poster above or on the Sasquatch! website.

Mac DeMarco White Christmas

Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” is one of those songs that are just oozing holiday spirit, so it only makes sense that people want to record their own cover of the track and that’s exactly what Mac DeMarco did. His version, titled “White Christma$,” is a slightly goofy version of the original and it comes paired with equally silly cover art of Star Wars’Jar Jar Binks in a Santa hat.
