Video: Lorde Covers The 1975’s “Somebody Else” in Paris

During her concert at le Zénith in Paris, Lorde hit the crowd with a cover of a song by The 1975. In Europe as part of her Melodrama Tour, Lorde performed a live rendition of the Manchester band’s “Somebody Else.”

As Pitchfork points out, Lorde has previously expressed her love for the track on Twitter, most recently stating that it’s her “most-listened-to song on spotify” of 2016.

Lorde Adds Run The Jewels and Mitski to her 2018 ‘Melodrama Tour’

Lorde has revealed the artists that will be kick things off and rile up crowds as part of the New Zealand singer’s forthcoming Melodrama Tour. The supporting acts include Run The Jewels, Mitski, and Tove Styrke, and they have also teased that “special guests” will also participate.

The North American tour will start on March 1 in Milwaukee and will conclude April 15 in Nashville. Along with announcing the show openers, Lorde has announced the addition of a Seattle show for March 9th.

Life Is Beautiful 2017 Lineup Announced, feat. Chance The Rapper, Gorillaz, Blink-182, Muse

The annual Las Vegas music festival Life Is Beautiful has revealed its lineup for the 2017 today and it’s proving to be one of their best ever. This year’s collection is stacked on pretty much every genre, with some of the bigger names including Chance The Rapper, Muse, Gorillaz, Lorde, and Blink-182.

Some of the other dope names on the lineup include MGMT, Cage The Elephant, ScHoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, HAIM, Pusha T, Vince Staples, Sean Paul, Two Door Cinema Club, De La Soul, and THEY.

The festival will take place downtown Las Vegas on September 22-24, and it will also include Cirque Du Soleil, Bill Nye, and a comedy showcase.

Lollapalooza 2017 Lineup Features Chance The Rapper, Arcade Fire, Blink-182, Big Sean & more

It’s heeeeeere!! The Lollapalooza lineup has arrived in the early, early hours of the morning (6am tho?!) and less than one day after 4-day passes sold out, we find out who’s playing Grant Park between August 3-6.

Chance all but confirmed his inclusion yesterday, but now we come to learn that young Chance The Rapper is actually the first name on this year’s lineup! Joining him to headline the storied festival are Arcade Fire, Muse, Blink-182, Cage The Elephant, Lorde, Run The Jewels, Alt-J, Big Sean, and The Shins.

But as with every year, it’s not just about the headliners!! Some of the other dope names that this year’s roster has to offer are other POD favorites like Migos, Spoon, Kaytranada, Ryan Adams, Phantogram, Mac DeMarco, Royal Blood, Highly Suspect, Aminé, Joey Bada$$, Charli XCX, Sampha, and Maggie Rogers.

Along with Chano, the Chicago presence on this lineup is also quite dope. This year we can catch acts that we fully endorse like Whitney, Noname, The O’My’s, Kweku Collins, and The Walters as the hometown highlights.

Bonnaroo 2017 Lineup Announced feat. U2, Chance The Rapper, The Weeknd, RHCP

The lineup for Bonnaroo 2017 has been revealed and it features U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Weeknd, and Chance The Rapper all getting top billing.

Taking place June 8-11 in Manchester, TN will also see performances from Lorde, Travis Scott, Cage The Elephant, Future Islands, Milky Chance, Royal Blood, Gallant, D.R.A.M., Flatbush Zombies, Margo Price, Francis and the Lights, Noname, The Orwells, Kevin Abstract, and White Reaper. The Governors Ball Music Festival today announced their 2017 lineup and it features Tool, Chance The Rapper, Phoenix, and Childish Gambino on the top of the bill.

Coachella 2017 Lineup Announced feat. Radiohead, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar

Happy New Year to you! Coachella have announced the 2017 lineup and once again they brought out the big guns with Radiohead, Beyoncé, and Kendrick Lamar all headlining.

Some of the other notable acts playing the festival this year include Lorde, Travis Scott, Father John Misty, Mac Miller, Hans Zimmer, Phantogram, Mac DeMarco, Bon Iver, Future, ScHoolboy Q, Gucci Mane, Tory Lanez, Majid Jordan, Kehlani, Galantis, Kaytranada, and Whitney. As has been the case in recent years, the festival will run on two weekends, with the 2017 edition of the festival taking place on April 14-16 and 21-23 at Empire Polo Field in Indio, California.

The loss of David Bowie earlier this year is still sending waves across the music world and tonight’s Brit Awards 2016 became the latest to pay their respects to the icon. At this year’s award show, The BRITs honored Bowie with a BRITs Icon Award words via Annie Lennox and Gary Oldman, who shared some words on just how impactful his career was across the decades.

Lorde, for her part, hit the stage with Bowie’s band for a cover performance of “Life on Mars.” Click through to the 8:55 mark to see performance portion of the tribute.
