posted by Luis Hernandez September 22, 2016

It’s all good though, I’m here for you with 6 albums that are too dope to keep sleeping on any longer. Check them out below!

The Jersey rapper spits bars over Lil Durk and Chief Keef’s track “Decline”. Though the song is most likely not going to land a spot on his upcoming album, it definitely is worth listening to.

Download: 2014 XXL Freshman Mixtape

posted by Oscar June 16, 2014

Xxl mixtape

XXL’s annual “Freshmen Class” issue has become one of the most important lists of the year thanks to their keen eye for the talent displayed over the previous year in question. This year’s roster was an eclectic one that featured the likes of Rich Homie Quan, Ty Dolla $ign, Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa.

Saving the best for last, XXL has put together a special mixtape showcasing the artists on this year’s “Freshmen List” with 21 tracks including brand new material, with features like 2 Chainz, Lloyd Banks and Fabulous, and compiling almost 2 tracks by everyone from the “class.”

Stream/download the new mixtape here.

Chance The Rapper & Vic Mensa Named 2014 XXL Freshman

posted by Alberto May 5, 2014

20140505-190624.jpgChicago is finally represented well on the XXL Freshman cover. I seriously thought last year would be the year, but we received only one spot and Chief Keef was in jail, so he couldn’t even part of the cover. This year, Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, Lil Bibby and Lil Durk all got a spot on the cover and they are well deserved. Isaiah Rashad is someone else who we are really happy to see on the cover. We were recently introduced to Jarren Benton, so we will be on the lookout for more new material from him. Check out the rest of the cover up above and be sure to pick up a copy when it hits newsstands.
