Video: Jenny Lewis – “She’s Not Me” (feat. Fred Armisen, Zosia Mamet, Vanessa Bayer)

posted by Oscar May 27, 2015

Jenny Lewis’ latest video for her song “She’s Not Me” revisits her early days as a child actor, a time during which she appeared on shows like The Golden Girls, Troop Beverly Hills, The Wizard, and Pleasantville. The video recreates her scenes on those shows in the “She’s Not Me” visuals, which not only shows her “reprising” her role from those 80’s shows but it also features appearances from singer-songwriter Feist and comedians/actors Fred Armisen, Zosia Mamet, Vanessa Bayer. The Golden Girls remake is by far the best and most hilarious to see.

Coachella 2015 Webcast feat. Jack White, St. Vincent, Tame Impala, The Orwells + more

posted by Oscar April 10, 2015

Coachella 2015 kicks off today in Indio, California with weekend one taking place. The iconic fest will be webcasting a number of sets live on YouTube.

It must be said that two of the biggest acts, Drake and AC/DC (and for us Vic Mensa), are notably off this list but I guess it just makes it that much more vital and cooler for the people who actually get to see those performances. However, there are some cool sets available for streaming including the likes of Jack White, Florence and the Machine, Tame Impala, Ryan Adams, St. Vincent, Lykke Li, and Run the Jewels.

Other acts that you can check on the webcast are Belle and Sebastian, Ride, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah, Alt-J, Alabama Shakes, Father John Misty, Interpol, The War on Drugs, Panda Bear, Tyler the Creator, Jenny Lewis, Cloud Nothings, The Weeknd, FKA twigs, Ratatat, Mac DeMarco, Jamie xx, Perfume Genius, Benjamin Booker, Royal Blood, The Orwells, and more.

Check out the set times below and tune in to YouTube to see the shows. Continue Reading

Some very sad news broke this weekend when the world learned of the passing of iconic musician, Lou Reed. During Neil Young’s annual All-Star Bridge School Benefit shows in Mountain View, CA, My Morning Jacket brought out Elvis Costello, Jenny Lewis and the host to perform The Velvet Underground’s “Oh! Sweet Nuthin” to pay tribute.
