Jay Electronica – Road To Perdition

posted by Alex March 6, 2015

I couldn’t do much but give the stank face and nod when I heard “Road to Perdition” by Jay Electronica. The track includes samples from Hov’s “Success” which really gives it those super dope ad libs. This really gives us some hope that Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn) is on its way. When that drops, GAME OVER! Check out “Road to Perdition” below.  Continue Reading

This time Hov threw a jab at Drake saying, “Sorry Mrs. Drizzy for so much art talk, silly me, rappin’ ’bout shit that I really bought / While these rappers rap about guns that they ain’t shot / And a bunch of other silly shit that they ain’t got.” All of this was said after Drake said that Sean Carter talked too much about buying art in a Rolling Stone interview. Take a listen below.  Continue Reading

Big Sean feat. Kendrick Lamar & Jay Electronica – “Control (HOF)”

posted by Oscar August 12, 2013

Big Sean Hall of Fame Tracklist

Big Sean has unveiled his track “Control (HOF),” featuring Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica. The track won’t be included on the actual album, citing issues with getting clearance for the sample. A potent and classic Spanish-language chant “el pueblo unido jamás será vencido” (roughly translates to “a united community will never be defeated”) serves as an excellent backdrop to each artist’s verses.

*Kendrick’s verse is simply badass.

Check out the 7-minute track here. Update: Listen to the CDQ and dirty version of “Control” here.
