Video: ‘The Colbert Report’ Is Sent Off w/Star-Studded Sing-Along

posted by Oscar December 19, 2014

Last night saw the end of an era with the farewell of the always-hilarious political satire show The Colbert Report. Such a momentous occasion needed an epic send-off and it got it with a star-filled cast that sang along of Vera Lynn’s “We’ll Meet Again” with host Stephen Colbert. The song was set-up after Colbert “gained immortality” with the death of the Grim Reaper, so as Colbert leaves his desk one last time he is met by Jon Stewart to sing by Randy Newman on piano.

That’s when the stars come out to help say goodbye to the show. Among those singing the tear-jerking tune were Bryan Cranston, Willie Nelson, Tom Brokaw, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Jeff Daniels, Keith Olbermann, Big Bird, the Cars’ Ric Ocasek, Katie Couric, Michael Stipe, Jeff Tweedy, James Franco and Cookie Monster. To name a few!

If this doesn’t bring you to tears (or at least almost there) you missed out on almost a decade of loving this show. See the performance above.

Video: New PubLIZity Clients – Seth Rogen and James Franco

posted by Oscar December 14, 2014

One of the best/most annoying characters to come out of the Kroll Show is without a doubt Liz from the “PubLIZity” sketch. The PR extraordinaire sits down with Seth Rogen and James Franco about what would be the best way to promote their new movie The Interview. All the ideas of course are right on the money on how to get your names in everyone’s head, but they still needed some more convincing.

The shocking end is the icing on the cake. Check it out above.

Video: Seth Rogen X James Franco – “Bound 3”

posted by Oscar November 25, 2013

Kanye West’s “Bound 2” generated a lot of buzz as it featured a naked Kim Kardashian “riding” a motorcycle with Mr. Yeezus. Today, comedian Seth Rogen along with friend and fellow actor James Franco released a shot-for-shot remake of that video with the former riding shirtless and doing his best Kim K interpretation. Of course, this is hilarious.

Video: Between Two Ferns/Spring Break Anthem #WACKWEDNESDAYS

posted by Oscar May 8, 2013

The latest edition of Between Two Ferns from Zach Galifianakis features James Franco and the Lonely Island served as the musical guests for the “Wack Wednesdays” inaugural video. The video in fact is for the SNL band’s tack, “Spring Break Anthem,” off their forthcoming third LP, The Wack Album. The new album, set for a June 11 release, will feature Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, cool ass dude Pharrell Williams, another T-Pain collabo, and Solange. The Comedy Rap group will be releasing a new video every “Wack Wednesday,” a la Kanye West’s “GOOD Fridays.”

Video: ‘Pineapple Express 2’ – Official Trailer

Fan of Pineapple Express?! The boys got together and…. did NOT make a sequel to the film. As an April Fools prank, Seth Rogen released a mock trailer for Pineapple Express 2 that actually serves as a very brief look into his other, real project called This Is The End. The fake trailer features actors James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson (who appears somehow even though his character died in the first movie) and Jonah Hill. It’s (purposely) poorly made and hilarious. See it above.

Update: Seth Rogen has released the official red band trailer for This Is The End to make up for the prank. Check it out after the jump.  Continue Reading
