James Blake- I Need A Forest Fire (ft.Bon Iver) Music Video

James Blake has just released his album “The Colour In Anything.” Following the release of the amazing album Blake also released the video for one of my favorite songs off the album “I Need A Forest Fire.”

The song itself inches itself closer and closer to your soul. As you listen you can’t help but get lost in the beautiful sensation derived from the song, even the entire album. The song features Bon Iver an amazing collaboration that brought us this amazing song.  The title itself brings me back to a state of vulnerability; those times I felt I needed a forest fire, a spark, a nitch, anything. I’ve even shed a few tears listening to the album.

I feel as though the album touched the soul, a lot of my twitter followers agreed as well. I’m really digging this album lately, I can’t stop listening to it. It was definitely an important album and was done in a style that is completely refreshing.

Beyoncé Releases ‘Lemonade,’ feat. Kendrick Lamar, Jack White, the Weeknd

posted by Oscar April 24, 2016

beyonce lemonade

Beyoncé’s new album Lemonade has finally arrived, premiering via an HBO special of the same name. The album is now available via Columbia/Parkwood and it is streaming exclusively on Tidal. The features include Jack White, The Weekend, James Blake, and Kendrick Lamar. Towards the end of the special, Lemonade is called a “visual album” before the end credits rolled out.

The HBO special is more of a movie experience with amazing, cinematic visuals and spoken word refrains in between each song/video. A lot of the imagery centers around themes like Afro-centrism, sorrow, revenge, and family. If you ever needed an excuse to get HBO, this is it.

Apart from those features, there’s also a healthy amount of samples too. Among those are Led Zeppelin’s “When The Levee Breaks” (“Don’t Hurt Yourself”), Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Maps” (“Hold Up”), Father John Misty (“Hold Up”) and Animal Collective’s “My Girls” (“6 Inch”). Co-producers include Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, Diplo, Mike Will Made It, and Just Blaze.
