Video: Fall Out Boy & Fetty Wap – “Trap Queen” (Live at MTV Movie Awards)

posted by Alberto April 13, 2015

I don’t think anyone saw this collaboration coming. Fall Out Boy was in the building for The MTV Movie Awards this year and kicked off their performance of their hit “Centuries” before transitioning into Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen.” Really random but really dope. Check out the performance above. If the link above doesn’t work, you can click HERE to watch the performance.

Fall Out Boy – “Uptown Funk” (Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars Cover) Live for BBC Radio 1

posted by Oscar January 13, 2015

Chicago area dudes Fall Out Boy were recently across the pond and while there they paid a visit to BBC Radio 1‘s Live Lounge. On the show the band performed a cover of Mark Ronson’s collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Uptown Funk.”

This version sounds very much like the original but I like it that way and if you do too, then you just might like this cover as well. Don’t get me wrong, it lacks the actual Funk that makes this song so great and hence this one is somewhat lacking in breadth, but it’s not entirely bad either.

See it above.

Fall Out Boy feat. Lupe Fiasco – “Only The Bulls”

posted by Oscar November 7, 2014

Fall Out Boy Lupe Fiasco - Only The Bulls

Check out the new anthem for our city’s favorite basketball team, the Chicago Bulls. The song is called “Only The Bulls,” and it’s a contemporary re-imagining of the original anthem conjured up decades ago. The song has two new original verses produced by Lupe Fiasco while Fall Out Boy remixed the chorus, keeping the original melody and lyrics intact.

For those who may not have made the connection, Lupe and Fall Out Boy were specifically chosen to do this remake because of their Chi-town roots and because, of course, they are each longtime fans of da Bulls.

Top 10 Artists To See at Riot Fest ’13

posted by Oscar September 11, 2013

Riot Fest

If you ever paid attention to the name of the authors on P.O.D. you may have noticed by now that I’m “the Rock guy” around here and that should have made you expect me to write up a list of the top 10 acts you just can’t miss at Riot Fest (Chicago) ’13.  This is my third Riot Fest in a row, my first covered on this site (in our traditional fan-view way, of course), and I’m already planning for this to be another tradition of mine. We’re just days away from rocking Humboldt Park and without a single note yet to be played, the music festival and carnival is already looking like it may be one of the best they’ve ever organized.
