Eminem Shares 8-Minute New Track “Campaign Speech”

posted by Oscar October 19, 2016

Eminem delivers a lyrical assault fittingly called “Campaign Speech,” which tackles a number of topics including a couple nods against Trump and his supporters during the almost 8 minutes the new track lasts.

This is yet another masterclass in Rapping, as Em effortlessly spits bars upon bars without a stutter over a minimalist score that intensifies with his delivery. Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman, Colin Kaepernick, Robin Thicke and others also get a namedrop on this track.

… And if a new track wasn’t enough to get you excited, Eminem also announced that a new album is underway! Check out “Campaign Speech” after the jump. Continue Reading

Just a few weeks ago, speculations about an alleged beef between two iconic rappers, Eminem and Drake, had the internet in an uproar. Drake put all those rumors aside last night by bringing out Eminem at his Summer Sixteen Tour stop in Detroit, which also happens to be the hometown of Em.

Eminem had the crowd going insane as he hit the stage to give his verse on Drizzy’s famous track “Forever”. After their performance together, Drake said “Detroit, make some noise for the greatest rapper to ever get on the motherfucking microphone” and even began to bow to the Detroit legend.

Check out how it all went down below.

Eminem Celebrates Anniversary of ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’ w/Cassette Re-Issue and Limited Edition Collectibles

Today’s the 16th anniversary of the release of Eminem’s most iconic album, The Marshall Mathers LP, and to help celebrate it the real Slim Shady has unleashed some limited-edition collectible items that are now available at Eminem.com. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these items will be donated to the Marshall Mathers Foundation, which provides funds for organizations working with at-risk youth in Michigan and throughout the U.S.

Among the collectibles listed on the site is a package that included an authentic brick from the rescued remains of Eminem’s childhood home, which was featured on the covers of The Marshall Mathers LP and its sequel, 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2. The way these bricks came to be available started during the same month of the release of MMLP2 in 2013, the State of Michigan ordered the house at 19946 Dresden Street to be knocked down due to structural safety issues. Each of the 700 bricks comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity featuring Eminem’s handwritten signature, and a display stand with enclosure that features a commemorative plaque on the side. This artistic project doesn’t end there, in collaboration with Brooklyn-based mill Good Wood, Marshall Mathers dog tags created from re-purposed wood from Eminem’s childhood home are available in extremely limited quantities.

These come at the same time as a cassette reissue of MMLP, which can be paired with either of these collectibles or get it in a package that includes all of the collectibles together plus a tee. Check out more shots of the anniversary collectibles below. Continue Reading

For the final post of our year-end list series we name the Dopest Live Shows of 2014. The best thing about making this list is that we get to look back at the year that was and have it serve as a little reminder that we got to experience some excellent concerts. Much like every year since we’ve been in existence, we largely attended shows in our home city of Chicago, but this 2K14 we had the chance to attend a couple of festivals in cities like Austin, Minneapolis and NYC, that wound up being some of the best experiences ever.

From club gigs to world-renowned major festivals, here are the Dopest Live Shows of 2014. Continue Reading
