Whenever we get to October in Chicago, there are two things to look forward to: Halloween and React’s Freaky Deaky festival. The 2016 lineup for the fest is always on point. This year’s lineup featured performances by Desiigner (pictured above), Disclosure, ScHoolboy Q, Tiesto, Lil Dicky, D.R.A.M., DJ Khaled, A$AP Ferg, and many more. We weren’t able to check out everyone’s set throughout the weekend, but we did manage to capture some images at a few of our favorite sets. Be sure to make your way to Toyota Park next Halloween for a weekend full of awesome costumes and even greater music.

Disclosure 2016 Tour

Disclosure today announced that they will be crossing the pond once more to embark on a North American tour. The UK duo will start their tour in Mexico with stops in Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Mexico, and then proceed to Indio, CA for Coachella before hitting cities across the southwest and up to Eugene, OR. What’s most interesting is the fact that for once, “North American” stands for a tour to will hit the U.S. and Mexico, and not like the usual U.S. and Canada when they use that description.

See all of the tour dates in the poster above.

As we start to wrap up 2015, it is time to reflect on all the good that was given to us in the past year and gahh damn… 2015 was one crazy year for the music world. Not only did legendary artists prove their talent even more so through their new releases, but we were all introduced to some underdogs that none of us were ready for… Having to choose my top selection of 2015’s best albums, I knew I had a variety to select from. I was having to choose from the best of the best, but I feel I narrowed it down to some pretty dope projects that have made their mark in the past year…so let’s see if you agree.

Review: Our 5 Favorite Songs on Disclosure’s ‘Caracal’

posted by Ellena Rodriguez September 30, 2015

Disclosure is finally back and man it feels good! When they first arrived on the music scene, they tried to recreate a lot of Chicago House music (which is dope) but they’ve now definitely found their calling. Their latest album, Caracal, released this past Friday and it is filled with nothing but bangers. Since releasing their famous hit “Latch” featuring good friend Sam Smith in 2012, the duo has dropped hit after hit. Mixing some R&B vocals with their self produced beats, the combo will make you want to dance until you forget that the lyrics are so damn emotional. Disclosure can throw down like no other and the vocals they featured on this latest album just kill it. The album includes songs featuring, The Weeknd, Sam Smith, Lorde, Miguel, Gregory Porter, Kwabs, LION BABE, Nao, and Jordan Rakei. There is little to no flaw on Caracal (if you find one hit me up). Each song has its own vibe that can be created by no other artist.

After long deliberation… I bring you my top 5 off of Caracal. Check it out down below.
