First and foremost, major congratulations to Caleb James for landing on the cover of the Chicago Reader. The young SaveMoney artists is a Rapper/Producer on the rise in the Chicago scene with a very good chance of succeeding on the main stage. This piece in particular touches on Caleb’s introduction to music production by way of his father (Steve “Stone” Huff) and where he is in today’s scene. We called The Jones one of the Dopest Mixtapes of 2013 and we sure think his next mixtape will end up on our “Dopest…” list for 2014.

Caleb James today dropped “Honesty & Loyalty,” the second single from his forthcoming project, The Jones 2.0, set to be released this Spring. While the mixtape features production from No I.D., Nez & Rio, and more, “Honesty & Loyalty” was co-produced Steve “Stone” Huff and Caleb himself.

Caleb James – “Eddy Curry”

Earlier in the year Caleb James delivered The Jones, a mixtape showcasing his love for R&B and 90’s era Hip Hop. Today, the SaveMoney man set aside his “R. Caleb” and instead went for a much heavier, contemporary sound for the track “Eddy Curry.” Snippets of the song had already been heard in the rapper’s #TwerkForEddyCurry Instagram videos, so that gives you a bit of an idea for the vibe he’s going for with this one.
