Not even one week into 2018 and we just might have been given the hottest collab of the year. Since the summer, Bruno Mars and Cardi B have been showing each other love over social media and today the two decided to tease us all about Bruno’s remix to his track “Finesse” that will now feature the Bronx queen. The duo also dropped the visuals for the track and we are loving the 90’s vibe they are giving us.

posted by Oscar February 13, 2017

The 2017 Grammys will forever be a historic event, with Adele stunning most music fans by taking top honors in Album Of The Year category over heavy favorite Lemonade by Beyoncé, Chance The Rapper stealing headlines with his awards for Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album (ALL as an unsigned, independent artist… and a streaming-only release on top of that!).

While the awards portion of the ceremony had several high moments and some notable lows, the quality of the performances didn’t suffer from that. Above you’ll find the headlining performance by Chi-town hero Chance, who performed a mesh of Coloring Book tracks “How Great” and “All We Got” with the help of My Cousin Nicole, Kirk Franklin, Tamela Mann & Francis and The Lights.

Below you’ll find some of the other dope performances including Bruno Mars’ tribute to Prince, A Tribe Called Quest’s Phife Dawg tribute with a powerful “We The People” with Anderson .Paak and Busta Rhymes, and Beyoncé slaying doing “Love Drought” and “Sandcastles.” See all that and our other favorite performances from the night after the jump Continue Reading

Bruno Mars Announces New Album ’24K Magic’ and Drops The Video For The Title Track

posted by Oscar October 7, 2016

Bruno Mars has made good on his teasing of a new single titled “24K Magic,” releasing it today via its accompanying music video. The tune sounds like another Pop mega hit, with an 80s Hip Hop aesthetic, with Mars spitting lines filled with bravado on top of a synth-heavy beat. The music video is a fitting portrayal of what it’s like to live the fly life, with the added bonus of taking place in lavish Las Vegas. Why you MAD? Fix your face and watch the video above.

The track takes its namesake from Bruno Mars’ forthcoming album 24K Magic, which will arrive on November 18 via Atlantic. Check out the artwork below. Continue Reading

Childish Gambino – “Marry You” (Bruno Mars Cover)

posted by Oscar June 30, 2015

The careers of Childish Gambino/Donald Glover finally collide for the unlikeliest of all films, the franchise sequel Magic Mike XXL. Childish has done a reworking of Bruno Mars’ wedding song “Marry You,” to appear on the soundtrack to the film on which he’ll also be appearing as an actor.

‘Bino’s version is not as epic but he packs a pretty good rendition in this concise, New Wave-y version. Peep the new cover below. Continue Reading

Video: Jungle Cover Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” Live for BBC Radio 1

posted by Oscar March 10, 2015

Mark Ronson’s collaboration with Bruno Mars “Uptown Funk” has been the inescapable hit of the early part of 2015, so it was only a matter a time it appeared as the subject of a Live Lounge cover on BBC Radio 1.

The band to tackle it turned out to be Jungle and they largely did a straightforward cover. The result was still pretty alright to listen to thanks to the organic feel of a live cover. See that above.

Fall Out Boy – “Uptown Funk” (Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars Cover) Live for BBC Radio 1

posted by Oscar January 13, 2015

Chicago area dudes Fall Out Boy were recently across the pond and while there they paid a visit to BBC Radio 1‘s Live Lounge. On the show the band performed a cover of Mark Ronson’s collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Uptown Funk.”

This version sounds very much like the original but I like it that way and if you do too, then you just might like this cover as well. Don’t get me wrong, it lacks the actual Funk that makes this song so great and hence this one is somewhat lacking in breadth, but it’s not entirely bad either.

Video: Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars Bring Out Mystikal To Perform “Feel Right” on ‘SNL’

posted by Oscar November 23, 2014

How’s that for a headline?

Last night the musical guests to the Cameron Diaz-hosted episode of Saturday Night Live were Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, who were there performing their hit “Uptown Funk” (below). For the customary second performance of the night the duo did something not so customary and surprised viewers by performing “Feel Right,” featuring none other than veteran rapper Mystikal.

The whole thing was bizarre (peep the funky clothes and dance moves!), but ultimately it all came together nicely, especially since Mystikal’s signature raspy vocals worked so damn well with the old-school music Mars and Ronson were performing. It was James Brown-esque, if I may dare say so. See that performance above. Continue Reading
