Boca Juniors Home Kit 2014-15

One of Argentina’s most-storied clubs, Boca Juniors, have released their Nike-designed Home & Away kits for the upcoming 2014-15 season. The jersey to be worn at the Bombonera sticks to tradition with a deep blue shirt and a bold golden stripe across the chest.

On the inside of the jersey at the base of the neck, a pennant tab features an anchor flanked by the club’s founding year, 1905. The anchor commemorates the Swedish ships that arrived at La Boca’s ports at the beginning of the century, which inspired the blue and golden yellow colors of the home kits.

The white away jersey features a bold golden stripe, bordered by deep blue piping, which runs across the chest. The rounded collar is deep blue accented by golden yellow. The same pennant design with the year and anchor is on the inside of the jersey at the base of the neck.

The home and away kits will be available starting Aug. 1 in Nike stores and retailers. See more pics below. Continue Reading

Buenos Aires soccer fans will be noticing a spirited new campaign that will feature one of the Argentine Primera Division’s top clubs, Boca Juniors. This new Nike Soccer ad centers on the tradition of league veterans that will be giving the new players very random hair cuts to mark their first game. Baptism, as the campaign is titled, is trying to show how the tradition both initiates rookies to the league, but also expresses their pride in wearing the Xeneize jersey. The ad, which showcases Boca Juniors stars Guillermo Burdisso, Matías Caruzzo, Gonzalo Escalante, Emanuel Insúa, Juan Manuel Martínez and Leandro Paredes from the first team, is airing now ahead of the Juniors’ match against Belgrano de Cordoba later tonight.

Check out the visuals for the campaign after the jump. Continue Reading
