Video: Bill Murray Plus Members of the Chicago Cubs Sing “Go Cubs Go” on ‘SNL’

posted by Oscar November 6, 2016

The celebration of the historic achievement for the Chicago Cubs, who won their first World Series in 108 years during the week, continued over the weekend thanks to ultimate fan and SNL alum Bill Murray led Cubs players Anthony Rizzo, David Ross and Dexter Fowler in an appearance on SNL’s “Weekend Update” segment.

Murray and his Cubbies hit up the show dressed as a barbershop quartet to perform Steve Goodman’s Cubs theme “Go Cubs Go,” finishing off with a fade to the Cubs Win Flag.

Right before the World Series victory, The Hood Internet mashed up Chance The Rapper’s “No Problem” with the Cubs theme. Check that out here.

Video: See The Official Trailer For ‘Rock the Kasbah’ Starring Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Zooey Deschanel

posted by Oscar June 13, 2015

It’d been a while since we’ve seen a good Rock movie but I think we might see an end to that run with Rock the Kasbah. The new film stars Bill Murray as the washed-up tour manager Richie Lanz who drags his last client (played by Zooey Deschanel) to Afghanistan for a USO tour, during which she steals all his stuff and leaves him stranded in the Middle Eastern country. Lanz by pure chance discovers a singer out there (Leem Lubany) and manages her as she competes in Afghan Star.

The shining moment of this trailer is seeing Murray sing “Smoke On The Water.”

Rock the Kasbah, also featuring actors Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, and Danny McBride, hits theaters October 23rd.

Phantogram – “Bill Murray”

posted by Oscar February 4, 2014

If there’s one thing that’s held as a universal truth is that Bill Murray is one cool dude. Phantogram have released their latest track, named after the beloved Chicago actor even thought it doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with him specifically. The fifth track from their forthcoming album, Voices is called “Bill Murray” because “… We always pictured a sad Bill Murray for the visuals of that song. We want him to be in the music video,” said Phantogram’s Josh Carter to The Atlantic.  Hear it above.

Video- ’30 for 30: The Space Jam Game’

posted by Oscar November 12, 2013

It’s safe to safe that ESPN’s 30 for 30 sports documentary series is one of the best things on film out there in this day and age. Now Yahoo! Screen has released a trailer of a game we’d all love to see a documentary about: the Space Jam game. In their mockumentary we learn some more about that historic game between the Tune Squad and the Monstars, including some insight on that match from basketball figures like Kurt Rambis, Greg Anthony, and Doug Gottlieb.

Because that game was a real thing that actually happened in the mid 90’s, this would make for an awesome doc. See the clip by clicking on the image above.
