AWOLNATION – “Windows”

posted by Oscar February 27, 2015

AWOLNATION has released a new track today. Last month the band delivered a scorched in “Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)” and the latest look at their new project is a song called “Windows.” This song showcases lead singer Aaron Bruno’s intense vocals packed with a punch and run through some distortion while a minimalistic bassline drives the background. The chorus is big as well, with plenty of bravado.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs Will Headline Q87.7’s PIQNIQ Festival

posted by Oscar April 29, 2013

piqniq 2013

As if there weren’t enough reasons around that make summer in Chicago awesome, our local Alternative Rock (is that still technically the term/genre?) radio station Q87.7, has announced the launch of its first PIQNIQ festival. The new festival will take place at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre on June 29.

What may be the most important part about this announcement is that the fest’s headliners will be the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who are making their only appearance in Chicago(land). Some of the other bands that will be heading over to Tinley are Bush, AWOLNATION, Silversun Pickups, Cold War Kids, and Atlas Genius among others.
