ASAP Mob Shares “RAF” Video; Announces Fall 2017 US Tour

posted by Oscar July 25, 2017

One of NYC’s biggest collectives, A$AP Mob, has shared the visual for their hit track, “RAF.” Along with the release of their latest music video, the group steered by Hip Hop’s Renaissance man A$AP Rocky has announced today a US tour this fall.

Rocky originally teased the track earlier this year in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily and in a tribute he wrote for Raf Simmons in TIME Magazine. The tribute to one of fashion’s greatest, the track featuring A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, Quavo, Lil Uzi Vert and Frank Ocean, premiered on Frank Ocean’s Beats 1 radio show in May and has taken off since then. The video features Rocky, Carti and Quavo modeling both new and rare, limited edition pieces from the Raf Simmons archives. Check it out above.

The members of the A$AP Mob have detailed their Fall tour across the US. The collective will hit the road for a 20-city tour, starting September 23rd in Lowell, MA and winding across the country until November 3rd, finishing up in Broomfield CO, with A$AP Ferg and Playboi Carti on select dates – see full list of dates below. Tickets go on-sale Friday July 28th at 10AM local time and can be purchased at www.asapmob.com

Tyler the Creator Shares New Song/Video “Who Dat Boy,” feat. A$AP Rocky

posted by Oscar June 29, 2017

Tyler’s back! Tyler, the Creator has finally released some new material, ending our collective streak without new music from him by delivering “Who Dat Boy.” The track features his partner A$AP Rocky, and it is available to check out along with its music video that was directed by Tyler himself, credited under his directing pseudonym, Wolf Haley.

The music video is incredibly intense, depicting Tyler roaming suburbia after an explosion opened up his face, which leads us to Rocky hooking his bro up with some necessary face transplant surgery. After Tyler escapes the police, the video cuts to him dancing along to his new song with Frank Ocean, “911.”

See all that unfold in the clip above.

POD Photos: SXSW 2017 – Day 3 feat. French Montana, Cam’ron, Noname, Warm Brew

posted by Oscar March 22, 2017

Day 3 of SXSW 2017 was packed with dope showcases throughout downtown Austin, which helped give us that much more to choose from regarding the artists we’d want to see for the night… but that also made it so much more difficult to decide on an action plan because the lineups were insane pretty much everywhere, so having to choose the right showcase carried so much more weight.

But that’s when it helps to have a squad in ATX, so while I went over to the House Of Vans/Fake Shore Drive showcase at the Mohawk that boasted a stacked lineup of some of Chicago’s best talent plus French Montana headlining, Alex and Alberto (AKA ) made their way to Easy Tiger for TuneIn’s that featured none other than Dipset’s own, Cam’ron!

Take a look at the highlights of Day 3 of SXSW below. Continue Reading

posted by Luis Hernandez December 20, 2016

Samples have always been the foundation of hip-hop since the beginning, from a Dj scratching different songs together to producers flipping a beat over for a hit single. Through each year its interesting to see how producers continue to evolve and dig up never before used samples for a memorable song. 2016 was no different, as many producers found diamonds in rough, creating hits that will be played for years.
