Arctic Monkeys went on Australia’s triple j show and followed “Like A Version” tradition by doing a cover, and they went with Tame Impala’s “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards.” The track, which has already been covered by acts like Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky, was a decent choice for the band as lead singer Alex Turner played a nice little solo acoustic version, though not as exciting as when they covered Drake’s “Hold On We’re Going Home.” See that above and see them playing a chill, acoustic version of “Do I Wanna Know?” below. The Arctic Monkeys are all over the place these days since the release of their new album, AM. The British band went on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge to play a live set which included a cover of Drake’s “Hold On We’re Going Home.” I’m not a big fan of Drake, and this may make me sound bias, but I kind of dig this adaptation of the singer’s R&B-Pop track.
It sounds like a Disco track and Turner’s vocals work perfectly. Hear it above.
