Bomba Estéreo Remix Arcade Fire’s “Everything Now”

posted by Oscar December 15, 2017

Just after concluding their tour through Latin America together, Arcade Fire have shared a remix of “Everything Now” by supporting act Bomba Estéreo. Rebranded as “Everything Now (Todo Ya),” the remix takes the Disco-inspired track and turns it into the Colombian band’s Electro-Cumbia lens.

The track includes some additional vocals from lead singer Li Saumet for some verses and the Spanish translation of the chorus/song title. Hear it below. Continue Reading

Video: Arcade Fire Perform “Everything Now” on ‘Ellen’

posted by Oscar October 18, 2017

Arcade Fire are about to enter the final stretch of their Infinite Content North American Tour and while they’re in Cali for a couple more concerts in the Golden State, the group hit the small screen today via The Ellen DeGeneres Show. They appeared on Ellen to perform the hit title track from their 2017 album Everything Now.

Not trying to be one of those dudes, but by the way some people in this crowd were dancing and reacting to the performance, I get the feeling that this was likely one of the first times (*if not the first time) they heard Arcade Fire’s music… lol… It’s whatever though, because Arcade Fire somehow found the space to add more people to their  lineup and equipped this performance with a 6-person choir to help give this track a proper live interpretation.

Check out the entertaining rendition of “Everything Now” above.

Arcade Fire are following up a superb headlining spot closing out Lollapalooza 2017 with some great news for fans…  Win Butler, Régine Chassagne and crew have announced that they will be making a triumphant return to Chicago on October 30 as part of their Infinite Content Tour through North America.

This announcement comes after the news that the band’s fifth studio album, Everything Now has entered the Billboard 200 at #1, with sales just shy of 100,000 since its release July 28 through an exclusive 360-degree partnership with global media and e-commerce platform Everything Now in synergy with the Sony corporation. Everything Now has also debuted at #1 on the UK album chart.

For that Chicago date, Arcade Fire has added The Breeders as their support act, while Wolf Parade has been called upon for support on the tour’s September 5 North American opener at Centre Videotron in Quebec City, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band will support September 17 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. posted by Oscar July 26, 2017

Arcade Fire are set to release their fifth album, Everything Now, this Friday, July 28, and now they’re currently running two Twitter contests for fans.

The first, called Infinite Infinite Content, challenges fans to create their own version of the song “Infinite Content” using only musical scores and MIDI files that the band has provided. That competition ends at 11:59 eastern time on July 27.

The second, inspired by the negative reaction to a fictional dress code that the band never insisted on for tomorrow’s intimate show in Brooklyn, is called #Dresscodegate. The band is asking fans to tweet a photo of themselves in their least hip, least trendy outfit; winners will have access to special VIP areas at the show, and they’ll be gifted a bunch of Everything Now swag.

Arcade Fire Release New Song/Video: “Electric Blue”

posted by Oscar July 13, 2017

Arcade Fire keep unrolling their new project, Everything Now, delivering today new song “Electric Blue” along with its music video. The band’s latest offering, the fourth and final advance track, stars Régine Chassagne on lead vocals comes equipped with an almost-childish weep accenting the beat, as a 90s. The song premiered today via Apple Music as Zane Lowe’s World Record on Beats 1.

In the visual we find Chassagne roaming the streets as a cleanup crew collects waste on a boulevard in metro area, in the aftermath of a Mardi Gras parade where you’ll find all kinds of trash and colorful bead necklaces adorning the pavement. The hazy video also takes good advantage of the flashing lights coming from the official’s vehicles, helping Chassagne shine bright as she performs the song. Check out the video above.

Everything Now will be released July 28 on CD, cassette, digital download and heavyweight black vinyl LP through an exclusive 360-degree partnership with global media and e-commerce platform Everything Now in synergy with the Sony corporation.

Along with the album’s title track, “Creature Comfort” (available in both Official and Official Official versions), and “Signs of Life,” “Electric Blue” can now be streamed, downloaded, and is available with pre-orders of the new album. The video for “Electric Blue,” shot in New Orleans during Mardi Gras season can be seen at http://smarturl.it/ElectricBlueVideo.

Arcade Fire Share New Track and Video: “Signs Of Life”

posted by Oscar June 30, 2017

Arcade Fire have dropped their latest song off forthcoming album Everything Now, and it’s titled “Signs of Life.” The track, which was. Everything Now is due out July 28 on CD, cassette, digital download and heavyweight black vinyl LP, as the press release via Everything Now Co. notes, through an exclusive 360-degree partnership with global media and e-commerce platform Everything Now in synergy with the Sony corporation. The band has unveiled the track listing to the new album, which can be found after the jump.

Win Butler and company are really showing off their depth here with another danceable track, this one hot enough for a 70s era club that would boast a disco ball and fro’d up ‘dos. The music video is pretty campy, as if Miami Vice was reinterpreted as an art film. The video was directed by Miami-based film/art collective Borscht, who shot the paranormal investigation storyline on 16mm film earlier this month in Miami.

Arcade Fire Share New Song/Video: “Creature Comfort”

posted by Oscar June 16, 2017

Arcade Fire are currently out touring Europe, but that hasn’t stopped them from rolling out new music from forthcoming album Everything Now.

Their latest offering is called “Creature Comfort,” which is now also available with its music video. The song is pretty straightforward lyrically, setting aside their more poetic beginnings for an approach that hits you in a simple, but equally effective mode for delivering their message, set to the beat of Industrial sounds. The song covers superficiality and its toxicity, along with the nature of insecurities; the best line is the recurring “God make me famous if you can’t just make it painless.”

Lollapalooza 2017 Schedule (Set Conflicts!) Announced

posted by Oscar May 9, 2017

The most wonderful time of the year (summer festival season!) is pretty much upon us…. Which makes this build-up time to that, after receiving the schedule for Lollapalooza 2017, the most pseudo-torturous time of the year because now is the time during which we have to start planning our lives to maximize our experience at one of the most noteworthy festivals in the nation.

Below you’ll find the complete schedule for all dates (August 3-6), but allow us to break it down and highlight some of the more annoying time conflicts that will keep us second-guessing our decision(s) till pretty much showtime. Continue Reading
