Albert Hammond Jr. today returns with his latest video for his song “Losing Touch.” The visuals for the second single off AHJ’s forthcoming solo project Momentary Masters were directed by Laurent Briant, and in this clip we follow the guitarist’s forced arduous and elaborate escape from something that wants his soul.

Briant said of the video:

“Albert and I happened to be in close proximity to one another right at the time he needed new videos to promote his new album. Personally, I am always feeling that we’re all living on borrowed time and that every opportunity should be grabbed and made the most out of. With this in mind we took off to Morocco to explore this notion on a two day road trip extravaganza. ‘Losing Touch’ is the first part of what came out of this journey.”

See the video above. Momentary Masters Available July 31st, 2015 in the US/EU, July 29 in Japan.

The Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr. has announced he will be releasing a new solo album this year titled Momentary Masters. The project is set to be released on July 31st and our first taste comes with the song “Born Slippy.”

The track is jaunty and bright, a real delight. The main riff, like a warmer version of The Strokes’ “Machu Picchu,” is instantly captivating and the vocal delivery comes off as if it were that of a lifelong frontman. Hear it after the jump.

The guitarist will be hitting the road in September in support of his new solo effort; see those dates in the poster below. Continue Reading
