Video: James Corden Sings “All I Want For Christmas” with Mariah Carey, Chris Martin, Adele on Carpool Karaoke

posted by Oscar December 16, 2016

“All I Want For Christmas” is without a doubt, THE best Christmas song around… AND I’m ready to fight y’all in case you disagree! (Don’t mess with my Christmas spirit, homie)

So it was only right that James Corden called upon Mariah Carey herself to sing the classic holiday track for The Late Late Show‘s “Carpool Karaoke.” Their performance came with a twist, though, as it also featured a compilation of clips of artists that appeared on the segment also singing the song back when they appeared. Some of the featured artists including Adele, Lady Gaga, Chris Martin, Elton John, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gwen Stefani, and Selena Gomez.

This isn’t replacing the original anytime soon, but it’s still fun af. Check it out above.

Video: Adele Does Carpool Karaoke on ‘The Late Late Show’

posted by Oscar January 14, 2016

Adele is the latest (super)star to appear James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment on The Late Late Show. For this bit Corden and Adele ride around and sing some tunes together, and the “setlist” included a good mix of her own songs and a couple of covers.

From her own catalogue, Adele sang hits like “Hello,” “Rolling in the Deep,” “Someone Like You,” and “All I Ask.” Corden and Adele’s covers included the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe,” and at the 10:30 mark the UK singer also did her best rendition of Nicki Minaj’s verse from Kanye West’s “Monster,” finishing up right as they were approaching London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall. I’ve gotta say, Adele ain’t too shabby at rapping!

Check out the whole ride above.

Video: Adele, Jimmy Fallon, & The Roots Sing “Hello” with Classroom Instruments

posted by Oscar November 25, 2015

If there’s one thing The Tonight Show does really, really well it’s getting artists to reinvent their songs and perform them live on classroom instruments, no less.

The latest artist to take part in this act is Adele, who follows up her formal appearance on the show with a performance of her hit lead single “Hello” with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, who had to make due with kazoos, and bongos, tambourines, and tiny xylophones to back her up. The end product is quite spectacular, actually, with another great showing of Adele’s fine, fine vocal abilities.

Video: Adele Poses as an Adele Impersonator at an Audition For Fellow Impersonators

posted by Oscar November 21, 2015

In the buildup to the long-awaited release of new album 25, Adele got together with Graham Norton for a little prank that would the singer transform herself into an Adele impersonator to test her singing chops at an audition with other impersonators. The woman behind “Hello” dons a fake nose and chin to become Jenny before joining her fellow aspiring Adeles, throwing shade at her own self while the rest of crew defend their idol from Jenny’s comments.

The moment of the big reveal is quite nice actually, as the impersonators are left in disbelief for a while until they realize they have the real thing singing in the most intimate setting they could have ever hoped for. See that above.
