posted by Oscar June 17, 2017

Foo Fighters are back to performing this year and during their recent appearance the Secret Solstice festival in Reykjavik, Iceland, the band delivered a little something more than what fans could’ve asked for. Dave Grohl and company surprised the crowd by playing a new track called “Lah Di Da,” which follows-up their previous offering, “Run.” From the look of things, the Foos are preparing one might fine and rocking new album!

See Lil Yachty Rap About ‘The Simpsons’ Characters with Jimmy Fallon + The Roots

posted by Oscar June 16, 2017

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of Lil Yachty’s (I won’t hate on dude; he’s doing work), but my opinion on the rising star might be changing if he keeps making moves like this! So “Lil Boat” did a lil video for The Tonight Show in which he rapped about 59 characters from The Simpsons, my favorite show ever, and it’s all pretty damn good.

Yachty was on the mic rocking all yellow with a jewelry piece inspired by the show, with the help from members of The Roots playing a minimalistic take on the theme song and host Jimmy Fallon helping guide things with some cue cards. There are some pretty dope bars here that true fans of the show would appreciate like “Hans Moleman was saying Boo Urns” and “I’ma school you like Chalmers and Skinner/Serving up steamed hams for dinner/I’m on fire, world that’s a fallacy/It’s really aurora borealis-y.”

1688Lbs – Summer Looks

posted by Alex June 16, 2017

Get in tune with one of Chicago’s up and coming streetwear brands, 1688Lbs who just dropped their summer looks today! Peep game as they’ve been hard at work for the past couple of months with their guerrilla marketing, designs and exposure into the local scene. The homies at 1688Lbs have created a different taste in streetwear that’s been missing in the local scene recently. Their style is versatile as it caters to just about anyone from creatives, skateboarders, athletes, and really anyone who is looking for something different and fresh to rock. My picks for the drop are the 1688Lbs City Skulls tee as well as the Signature 1688Lbs Signature Tee. Check out the looks below and make sure to cop from 1688Lbs’s latest drop here!

Arcade Fire Share New Song/Video: “Creature Comfort”

posted by Oscar June 16, 2017

Arcade Fire are currently out touring Europe, but that hasn’t stopped them from rolling out new music from forthcoming album Everything Now.

Their latest offering is called “Creature Comfort,” which is now also available with its music video. The song is pretty straightforward lyrically, setting aside their more poetic beginnings for an approach that hits you in a simple, but equally effective mode for delivering their message, set to the beat of Industrial sounds. The song covers superficiality and its toxicity, along with the nature of insecurities; the best line is the recurring “God make me famous if you can’t just make it painless.”

Hear The New Coldplay Song, “All I Can Think About Is You”

posted by Oscar June 15, 2017

Coldplay have released their latest track, “All I Can Think About Is You,” from their upcoming Kaleidoscope EP. The song comes accompanied by an animated lyric video. The slow-burner of a track is best appreciated if you hear it following the sequential visual, which was directed by I Saw John First.

See the lyric video for “All I Can Think About Is You” below.

POD Photos: Jessie Reyez at Schubas 6/14

posted by Alberto June 15, 2017

Jessie Reyez made her tour stop at Chicago’s legendary venue Schubas last night and it sure was a memorable night. The Toronto native got to celebrate her birthday with the sold-out crowd that was very anxious to see her hit the stage. The entire venue erupted once Jessie walked on stage and opened up her set with “Shutter Island.” Jessie continued to run through her entire Kiddo EP and even threw in a few covers of Chance The Rapper, Jay Z and ScHoolboy Q songs.

Jessie came out for an encore to perform her song “Blue Ribbon” and the energy was at its highest point for the night. Be sure to catch her on tour in a city near you. Check out a few photos I captured at the show below.  Continue Reading
