Get lost in a musical reverie to Lunxch’s “Breathe”

posted by Alejandro Hernandez February 13, 2018

Chicago rapper Lunxch (formerly known as Sage, the 64th Wonder) is back with a new single, and it was one of the best new releases of the past week. Lunxch has always rode his own wave, and he does so literally on this track by incorporating smooth wave sample blended wonderfully with a mellow piano and boom-bap style production.

The beat is mellow enough to make you drift away with the instrumental, but Lunxch  makes sure to keep you paying attention to his lyrics by delivering  some great braggadocious bars. After about 25 seconds of just the instrumental opening the track, he finally  starts his verse with saying “I’m living my wave/Fuck what you say,” that quickly grabs you back from the reverie from the opening instrumental to let you know he means business.

The assertive bars mixed with the soothing production captures a well-rounded ambiance that will make you fall into a musical bliss.  So sit back, listen to the track below and just “Breathe.”

A few days back, the Chicago native dropped a new 3-song EP that is worth a stream or two. Check out his tobi lou and the Moon EP  below. Continue Reading

Man, we’ve been telling y’all for a while about this dude Phoelix and here’s your latest example of why you need to keep listening to us when we talk to you about this Fox Valley native. Phoe unleashed his latest joint “Drip,” and as we’ve been accustomed to from him, it’s a hot one.

The slinky track is a smooth shooter, hitting you slowly but with the precise force to still be able sink into you. This guy never fails to amaze.

The track was mixed & mastered by Don Hullio at Classick Studios. Hear “Drip” below. Continue Reading

Project Stream: Ravyn Lenae Shares ‘Crush,’ produced by Steve Lacey

posted by Oscar February 9, 2018

Ravyn Lenae has been an instant hit for us since the moment she appeared on the scene, and today she’s helped us expand our love for her music with the release of her new EP, Crush.

The project was produced by Steve Lacey, which seems like a match made by a higher power, because it truly feels like a perfect match. Upon listening to the EP, it feels as if Ravyn has graduated to a whole new level. So whether she decides to work with Lacey some more or reconnect with Monte Booker, she appears to have zeroed-in on her artistic vision to the point that the music will always be fire no matter who works the board.

Danny L Harle feat. Clairo – “Blue Angel”

posted by Oscar February 9, 2018

I am pumped to finally be able to share something new featuring the voice of Clairo. The bedroom pop darling is featured on “Blue Angel,” a new track from PC Music’s Danny L Harle.

The song is a more conventional modern Pop than what we’re used to hear from the YouTube stand-out, leaving behind the lo-fi aesthetic to go for more Electronic vibe. I can definitely see this get sped up for a Dance remix that would work just well in the club as it would scoring a soccer goal video on Instagram.

Clairo and Harle are also working on her forthcoming EP.

Check out the bright lyric video below. Continue Reading
