Ty Segall Shares Video for “Break A Guitar” feat. Jack Black, Fred Armisen, Henry Rollins

posted by Oscar April 24, 2017

The bizarre guitar genius Ty Segall has allowed us to take a glimpse into his mind with his new music video for “Break a Guitar.” The totally bonkers visual directed by Matt Yoka is a kaleidoscopic gem that shows Segall and his band playing the track in a seemingly-endless loop of the same floating artists coming into frame and then disappearing to make room for the next batch to come into and rock out. Segall enlisted Fred Armisen to kick things off in the intro, while Henry Rollins and Jack Black sneakily appeared as part of the performing band.

Also, there are tons of guitars exploding in slow motion and that’s pretty badass! Check out the video above.

The Districts have announced their forthcoming new album Popular Manipulations, which set for an August 11th release date via Fat Possum.

Combined with that announcement, the band have shared the visual for their single, “Ordinary Day,” which premiered on Noisey. The music video prominently stars a mysterious, masked figure roaming the streets spliced together with shots of the band performing the song at an intimate venue filled with people donning that same white mask. It’s all a bit eerie and you’ll find yourself feeling that heartache in the climax of the scene.

posted by Oscar April 24, 2017

L.A. VanGogh has shared his latest tune “Bitter Berries.” The self-produced track finds L.A. in an introspective state, reflecting on what he endures as a half Mexican and half black man. The beat definitely gives off the vibe you’re taking the trip into his mind and helps you empathize with that struggle.

L.A. VanGogh be performing this coming Friday (4/28) for Rich Jones’ All Smiles 5 year anniversary Bash at Tonic Room. Get your tickets here; hear his latest track below. Continue Reading
