The red kits are similar to the current home jersey with symbolic design accents that show off the nation’s patriotic side, including “1 Nation” and “1 Team” on the inside cuffs of the sleeve, in addition to “USA” displayed on the neckline.

The USWNT will be the first to use it, introducing it at the 2017 SheBelieves Cup set to take place from March 1-7, and the Men’s National Team will first put on the new uniform on March 24 for their World Cup qualifying match against Honduras in San Jose, California.

Nike Celebrates Wayne Rooney’s Club Goals Record with Hypervenom WR250

posted by Oscar January 22, 2017

This weekend was a historic one for Wayne Rooney, who scored his 250th goal for Manchester United. The goal scored in a 1-1 draw against Stoke City made Rooney the all-time leading goalscorer for United, reaching the feat in 12 years with the club, 5 years faster than the previous record holder, Sir Bobby Charlton.

Last fall Rooney broke another record when he became England’s all-time leading scorer with 50 goals.

To celebrate the historic achievement Nike has announced the special edition Hypervenom WR250. The new kicks come in red and white, the colors he sports for both club and country, with a special logo created featuring a crown and his record breaking number on the tongue of the boot. According to Nike, when placed side-by-side, the pair forms the St George’s Cross across the uppers, connecting to England once more.

NFL Helmets Reimagined by Artists in Mexico

posted by Oscar November 21, 2016

Mexico City is hosting the NFL tonight with the first Monday Night Football match played outside of the US. To set the mood for the Oakland Raiders and the Houston Texans’ bout at the iconic Azteca Stadium, local artists reimagined the helmets for each team in the league.

As with any piece of art, appreciating it really depends on the individual, but there were definitely some redesigned NFL team helmets that looked doper than others. My favorite? It was hard to choose between the Philadelphia Eagles (above), the Detroit Lions, and the Dallas Cowboys. One thing that was a little bit easier to assess was that, much like their performance on the field this season, the Chicago Bears is pretty much the worst. The rest of the helmets are pretty dope overall.

posted by Oscar November 6, 2016

The celebration of the historic achievement for the Chicago Cubs, who won their first World Series in 108 years during the week, continued over the weekend thanks to ultimate fan and SNL alum Bill Murray led Cubs players Anthony Rizzo, David Ross and Dexter Fowler in an appearance on SNL’s “Weekend Update” segment.

Murray and his Cubbies hit up the show dressed as a barbershop quartet to perform Steve Goodman’s Cubs theme “Go Cubs Go,” finishing off with a fade to the Cubs Win Flag.

Right before the World Series victory, The Hood Internet mashed up Chance The Rapper’s “No Problem” with the Cubs theme. Check that out here.

Lil Uzi Vert’s “Do What I Want” Stars in New Russell Westbrook Jordan Commercial

posted by Luis Hernandez October 27, 2016

If you even remotely follow the NBA, you know the ongoing feud between Russell Westbrook & Kevin Durant since he left for Golden State. The two have been throwing shade in the past months and this new Jordan commercial adds even more fuel to the fire. Shoutout to Jordan, who used the perfect song to depict Russell’s mood now that he is the main man in OKC. This also is a great look for Lil Uzi Vert, as this commercial will get millions of views in the next few months. All in all, this is a win for both parties, who come together to make the most entertaining commercial of 2016. I promise you won’t watch this only once!

The Hood Internet Mashes Up “Go Cubs Go” with Chance The Rapper’s “No Problem”

posted by Oscar October 25, 2016

Ahead of Game 1 of the 2016 World Series, The Hood Internet are showing their support for their team the Chicago Cubs by mashing up the club’s anthem “Go Cubs Go,” with fellow Chicagoan, Chance The Rapper’s hit Coloring Book track “No Problem.” Though this may be an odd pairing considering Chano is a die-hard White Sox fan, it kinda works. At the very least, it’s getting the North Side pumped for the Cubbies’ first appearance in the World Series in 71 years!

Note the fact the Coloring Book cover art has also been altered to not only feature an iconic Cubbies “W,” but the Chance 3 hat is now a Cubs cap. Check out the mashup below. Continue Reading

See the New NJR x JORDAN Collection Colorway for Neymar’s Hypervenom

posted by Oscar October 11, 2016

Nike has shared an update to their Neymar and Michael Jordan collaboration, the NJR X JORDAN collection, with a new colorway for the Hypervenom boot. The collection first launched back in June of this year, which saw the Brazilian star become the first football (soccer) athlete to feature the Jumpman on his performance product while the Jordan Brand released a Neymar edition of the Jordan V Low with “Neymar” stitched inside the tongue.

The new colorway transforms the boot into a white model inspired Neymar Jr.’s favorite the Jordan V with the signature shark teeth in red and the iconic cement print overlay. Another update brings the number 11, which Neymar wears for Barcelona, to the left boot and Jordan’s defining number 23 is on the right; the previous edition saw a number 10 on the left boot because that’s his number for the national team.
