See Lil Yachty Rap About ‘The Simpsons’ Characters with Jimmy Fallon + The Roots

posted by Oscar June 16, 2017

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of Lil Yachty’s (I won’t hate on dude; he’s doing work), but my opinion on the rising star might be changing if he keeps making moves like this! So “Lil Boat” did a lil video for The Tonight Show in which he rapped about 59 characters from The Simpsons, my favorite show ever, and it’s all pretty damn good.

Yachty was on the mic rocking all yellow with a jewelry piece inspired by the show, with the help from members of The Roots playing a minimalistic take on the theme song and host Jimmy Fallon helping guide things with some cue cards. There are some pretty dope bars here that true fans of the show would appreciate like “Hans Moleman was saying Boo Urns” and “I’ma school you like Chalmers and Skinner/Serving up steamed hams for dinner/I’m on fire, world that’s a fallacy/It’s really aurora borealis-y.”

Video: Melissa McCarthy Delivers Stellar Sean Spicer Impersonation on ‘SNL’

posted by Oscar February 5, 2017

In what may be the biggest thing to come out of this weekend (yeah, I know the Super Bowl is also taking place), Melissa McCarthy put on one hell of a hilarious performance in a skit where she impersonated the current White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer.

In this short time since he took the position, Spicer has been recognized for losing his cool a bit in his attempt to deliver Trump’s administration’s latest alternative facts, and McCarthy expertly tapped into that for her portrayal. From swallowing gum to defensive responses to lashing out against the reporter’s questions, Melissa McCarthy is literally-laugh-out-loud hilarious in this.

Video: See Triumph Roast People at Trump’s Inauguration

posted by Oscar January 24, 2017

In this time of absurdity, there’s no one (thing?) better to turn to than Triumph the insult Comic Dog to take things to a whole other level. Triumph was one of the few people at Trump’s inauguration and while there he proceeded to roast and troll the attendees. The jokes were hilarious with Triumph tackling all things surrounding the Donald including Melania, the overly white crowd, a Latino supporter, Mike Pence, and of course Russia.

Some of the jokes are pretty NSFW, so if you’re catching this in a public space put your headphones on!

Video: See Aziz Ansari Host ‘Saturday Night Live’

posted by Oscar January 22, 2017

Aziz Ansari was last night’s host of Saturday Night Live, featuring Big Sean as the musical guest. Anzari’s opening monologue focused on the biggest news in the country: Trump’s swearing in to the highest position in the country.

Aziz joked about Trump being “basically the Chris Brown of politics,” while adding “and ‘Make America Great Again’ is his ‘These Hoes Ain’t Loyal’” because some supporters pick and choose what aspects of Trump they actually acknowledge to support. He also touched on how certain people should go back to hiding their racism, and finding redeeming factors to George W. Bush’s speech after 9/11.

Video: See The Best Moments of Dave Chappelle on ‘SNL’

posted by Oscar November 13, 2016

Dave Chappelle returned to mainstream TV last night as the guest host of Saturday Night Live. The comic genius was host of SNL for his very first time, and the stand-up legend kicked things off with a 10 minute monologue doing what he does best. The opening monologue largely focused on Donald Trump being elected president of our country, delivering the line “We’ve actually elected an internet troll as our president.” Chappelle also talked about why he’s going to ride out this Trump presidency with the benefit being a rich man considering the tax cuts coming his way. But it wasn’t all jokes, as Chappelle concluded his monologue talking about how Obama did a good job as leader of the free world and then shared a bit of history of African Americans and their relationship with the White House prior to Obama’s presidency. Finally, he left us with these sobering lines: “I’m wishing Donald Trump luck. And I’m going to give him a chance. And we the historically disenfranchised demand that he gives us one too.”

The rest of the show was highlighted by Chappelle reviving some of his best Chappelle’s Show characters in a The Walking Dead skit featuring Tyrone Biggums, Lil’ Jon, Clayton Bigsby, and Silky Johnson recreating the famous Negan scene. It contains spoilers!! See more below Continue Reading

Video: Millie Brown of ‘Stranger Things’ Raps Nicki Minaj’s “Monster” Verse on ‘Fallon’

posted by Oscar September 1, 2016

Netflix’s Stranger Things continues being a sensation these days thanks to the show’s stars’ appearance last night on Fallon. The kids from the hit series took over The Tonight Show yesterday to deliver plenty more moments for fans to keep enjoying all things Stranger Things, including a panel interview discussing that kiss scene, a sketch depicting Barb’s return, and a round of a game called “Stranger Strings” where the participants had to guess who wrote the card read out loud by spraying them with silly string.

During that game we learned that Millie Bobby Brown, aka the show’s badass character Eleven, could rap Nicki Minaj’s “Monster” verse. And that, she did! Check out the pretty dope mini performance in the clip above. Now I’m sitting here waiting for the full mixtape!

Last night Drake held double duties on SNL, appearing on the episode as both host and musical performer.

While seeing the 6 God do live renditions of his new Views joints was understandably the most noteworthy portion of the night for fans, but Drake showed once more his great comedy chops with a great monologue and even better sketches.

Among the standout moments include a skit called “Drake’s Beef” (above) in which he performs diss verses against Pete Davidson, Leslie Jones, Aidy Bryant, and even the almighty Lorne Michaels to the beat of “Back To Back.” See that above.

“Obama Out!” President Obama Kills It in Final White House Correspondents’ Dinner

posted by Oscar May 1, 2016

It’s no secret that President Barack Obama is a funny guy and that the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner are always the perfect way to showcase his excellent comedic timing.

For his final appearance at the WHC dinner as the head of the Executive Branch, Mr. President roasted CNN and news reporting along with Donald Trump, called out Prince George for a “slap in the face” first meeting, and joked about all things surrounding his final year as the “Leader of the Free World.” The whole thing was hilarious and the President Obama capped it off in the most perfect way by saying “and with that I have two more words to say: Obama Out” followed by him doing a literal mic drop! There’s no topping that. Legendary status.

See the full remarks above and look below for the skit video that accompanies the event, along with Larry Wilmore’s remarks at the WHC Dinner. Continue Reading
