Video: Chance The Rapper Hosts ‘Saturday Night Live’

posted by Oscar November 19, 2017

It’s official: Chance The Rapper is a bonafide superstar.

Chicago’s most illustrious export since Kanye West, Chance The Rapper returned to Saturday Night Live once more, but after appearances as the musical guest this time he came back to host the show.

Chano showed off his comedy chops right from the start, using his monologue to perform his Thanksgiving anthem. The timeless familiarity of his references will assure its inclusion in the canon of SNL‘s holiday songs. See that above.

Below you’ll find some more highlights from the episode, like his best sketches in “Wayne Thanksgiving” and “Sports Announcer,” the latter in which he’s made to comment on a hockey game that he clearly hasn’t been following closely. See that and more below. Continue Reading

Video: See Drake and Will Ferrell as Handshake Coaches for NBA Awards Sketch

posted by Oscar June 27, 2017

Last night saw the inaugural NBA Awards, which saw Drake host a night celebrating the best of the premier basketball league in the world. Drizzy showed off his comedy chops not only with his opening monologue, but he also participated in a couple of sketches that proved the Canadian rapper got plenty more to offer in the comedy realm beyond “Hotline Bling” memes. The highlight sketch featured Drake and Will Ferrell school some ball players, which included DeMar DeRozan, how to properly react to your team making clutch shots! “The Jenga,” “The Gossip Queen,” and “The Prom” are all fire celebrations that we’re expecting (/hoping) to see this upcoming NBA season. The Obi-Wan might be a stretch tho… See that above.

You can also check out an extras clip with other handshake celebration like the helicopter” and the “Lavar Ball” that are dope, plus a Get Out sketch and a press conference one below. Continue Reading

See Lil Yachty Rap About ‘The Simpsons’ Characters with Jimmy Fallon + The Roots

posted by Oscar June 16, 2017

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of Lil Yachty’s (I won’t hate on dude; he’s doing work), but my opinion on the rising star might be changing if he keeps making moves like this! So “Lil Boat” did a lil video for The Tonight Show in which he rapped about 59 characters from The Simpsons, my favorite show ever, and it’s all pretty damn good.

Yachty was on the mic rocking all yellow with a jewelry piece inspired by the show, with the help from members of The Roots playing a minimalistic take on the theme song and host Jimmy Fallon helping guide things with some cue cards. There are some pretty dope bars here that true fans of the show would appreciate like “Hans Moleman was saying Boo Urns” and “I’ma school you like Chalmers and Skinner/Serving up steamed hams for dinner/I’m on fire, world that’s a fallacy/It’s really aurora borealis-y.”

Video: Melissa McCarthy Delivers Stellar Sean Spicer Impersonation on ‘SNL’

posted by Oscar February 5, 2017

In what may be the biggest thing to come out of this weekend (yeah, I know the Super Bowl is also taking place), Melissa McCarthy put on one hell of a hilarious performance in a skit where she impersonated the current White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer.

In this short time since he took the position, Spicer has been recognized for losing his cool a bit in his attempt to deliver Trump’s administration’s latest alternative facts, and McCarthy expertly tapped into that for her portrayal. From swallowing gum to defensive responses to lashing out against the reporter’s questions, Melissa McCarthy is literally-laugh-out-loud hilarious in this.

Video: See Triumph Roast People at Trump’s Inauguration

posted by Oscar January 24, 2017

In this time of absurdity, there’s no one (thing?) better to turn to than Triumph the insult Comic Dog to take things to a whole other level. Triumph was one of the few people at Trump’s inauguration and while there he proceeded to roast and troll the attendees. The jokes were hilarious with Triumph tackling all things surrounding the Donald including Melania, the overly white crowd, a Latino supporter, Mike Pence, and of course Russia.

Some of the jokes are pretty NSFW, so if you’re catching this in a public space put your headphones on!

Video: See Aziz Ansari Host ‘Saturday Night Live’

posted by Oscar January 22, 2017

Aziz Ansari was last night’s host of Saturday Night Live, featuring Big Sean as the musical guest. Anzari’s opening monologue focused on the biggest news in the country: Trump’s swearing in to the highest position in the country.

Aziz joked about Trump being “basically the Chris Brown of politics,” while adding “and ‘Make America Great Again’ is his ‘These Hoes Ain’t Loyal’” because some supporters pick and choose what aspects of Trump they actually acknowledge to support. He also touched on how certain people should go back to hiding their racism, and finding redeeming factors to George W. Bush’s speech after 9/11.

Check that out above and hit the jump to find Ansari in skits about La La Land and riding an Uber. Continue Reading

Netflix Announces Three New Dave Chappelle Comedy Specials Are Underway

posted by Oscar November 21, 2016

You read that right! That headline is not clickbait… Netflix took to their social accounts to announce that they will be releasing three new comedy specials by the one and only, Dave Chappelle. The release dates for these are yet to be announced, as all we get with the news was a “coming soon.”

According to Pitchfork, Chappelle’s follow-ups to 2004’s Dave Chappelle: For What It’s Worth will include an original set filmed exclusively for Netflix and two specials drawn from “Chappelle’s personal comedy vault,” which were filmed at Austin City Limits Live and the Hollywood Paladium.

Dave Chappelle made his return to the mainstream earlier this month as the host of Saturday Night Live, which included over 10 minutes of stand-up. See that here.
