The Bird and The Bee are back at it again with another Van Halen cover, but this time they’re recruited Beck to help them out. The parties came together to tackle the classic 1984 cut “Hot For Teacher,” the third effort from the duo of singer Inara George and Greg Kurstin have released from Interpreting the Masters Volume 2: A Tribute to Van Halen.
There’s no guitar in this take on the David Lee Roth-led jam, playing that killer opening riff on the keys instead but luckily Omar Hakim is on board to play the signature tumbling drums while Beck makes a spoken word cameo. It enhances the jazzy feel of the original, passing it through a lens of fuzz.
