There’s no bigger movie event this year (IMMHO) than The Lion King, so it’s only fair to imagine its musical counterpart would deliver the goods as well.
Beyoncé will appear in the movie as Nala, but she’s also responsible for new song “Spirit,” which will be featured in the new album for the film entitled The Lion King: The Gift. The track will appear on this album as well as the soundtrack. This one sure sounds like a Disney movie production, and has the benefit of fitting with the 90s joints while still feeling contemporary.
