POD Recap: Justin Timberlake is The Man of The Woods

A fog set over the United center as ‘Who Run It’ by fellow Memphis Natives Three 6 Mafia fades off the speakers. The lights drop.

Curtains of projected trees descend from the ceiling making the entire stadium feel like the woods, and was perfect for one of the first few cool nights of fall.

The lights come up and the band comes streaming out of the tunnel.

Finally JT himself darts out and launches right into ‘Filthy’.

Justin’s set not only includes a full live band but also a full dance team, that rose up from below the stage to join in.

There was a large stage on one end of the stadium with an amazing neon light installation hanging above. But the most impressive part of the show was the runway which weaved and snakedx it’s way through the entirety of the center of the stadium. The VIP section on the floor seemed like the place to be, just inches away from Justin as he performed the new stuff and the old.

Aside from his own mega hits, like ‘Cry Me a River’, ‘Suit and Tie’, and ‘Sexy Back’, he also dropped a few interesting covers including ‘Come Together’ by the Beatles, ‘Dreams’ by Fleetwood Mac and ‘N****s In Paris’ by Watch the Throne.

Justin still hasn’t lost a step out there, spinning and jumping in his new signature Justin Timberlake ‘JTH’ Jordan 3s.

Justin sure still knows how to put on a show as he finished off the night with his most recent smash ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’.
