In Honor of Mac Miller: Mac Miller Essentials

On September 7, 2018, we lost a great soul. Malcolm James McCormick, a crazy Jewish rapper born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Malcolm has individually touched all of our lives not just by the music he made, but just because the person he was. The first time I heard Mac was on Tumblr. Somebody I followed had the infamous song “Kool Aid and Frozen Pizza”, a combination that we will forever hold in our hearts. From that point on, I became a fan. From the amazing mixtape called “KIDS” to his final album “Swimming“, us listeners were not only fans, but we became family. Mac was our family. He touched each and everyone’s heart, when we were in high school, college, and now adults. Mac was only 26 when he passed away. He lived such a short life, but it’s definitely a life we would forever cherish. Personally, I want to thank him for being there without being there. His music has made such an impact on us, and his beautiful soul would never go unnoticed. In honor of his life, Pursuit of Dopeness made a playlist of some of Miller’s essentials down below.

Give it a listen. If you have a song that changed your life or made you feel whole again, comment down below. Rest in Peace Mac.
