Album Stream: Paul McCartney Releases ‘Egypt Station’

Sir Paul McCartney’s new album Egypt Station has arrived. This is the former Beatle’s first full album of all-new McCartney music since 2013’s NEW. It was recorded between Los Angeles, London and Sussex, and produced (with the exception of one Ryan Tedder track) by Greg Kurstin (Adele, Beck, Foo Fighters).

One of the most eye-catching tracks on this project is “Fuh You,” which McCartney himself dubbed a “raunchy love song.”

Check out the 14-track new album below.

Speaking in a press release about the title, Paul said:

“I liked the words ‘Egypt Station.’ It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make… Egypt Station starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.”

To celebrate the release of the album and as part of a YouTube Original special, Paul will give fans a once-in-a-lifetime experience by performing an intimate concert from New York tonight. The show will be streamed live on his YouTube channel for those of us that won’t be in attendance, but if you can’t tune in at 8:00 pm EST the show will live on Paul’s YouTube channel after the event.
