POD Photos: Princess Nokia at the House of Vans Chicago (6/8)

The House of Vans hosted another its latest Summer Series House Party here in Chicago, with an evening headlined (and curated) by the one and only Princess Nokia.

The New York rapper had a full takeover of the West Loop venue, by including an art installation component that covered one of the walls adjacent to the stage, along with covering parts of the walls in one of the lounges. Nokia also did well of showcasing both side of her onstage persona, with the first half dedicated to her Hip Hop side and the second making way for her more Emo upbringings that even included a tasty cover of Blink-182’s “I Miss You.”

JPEGMAFIA brought a lot of great energy to his performance, that even extended into the crowd. On the other hand, Glitter Moneyyy were a great revelation to me with their sassy ways and lively stage presence that the Vans House thumping. I loved their attitude and everything they’ve got to offer.
