Afropunk Brooklyn 2017 Lineup Announced feat. Thundercat, Gary Clark Jr., Kaytranada, + a St. Heron Stage

The 2017 lineup for the Brooklyn installment of Afropunk has been announced. The roster for this year includes Soul II Soul, Sampha, Thundercat, Kaytranada, Dizzee Rascal, Gary Clark Jr., Macy Gray, SZA, Serpentwithfeet, Sango, The Cool Kids, and Kevin Abstract. Solange’s St. Heron and Kaytranada will also  Many more headliners will be announced soon, too.

The critically-acclaimed fest will take place August 26-27 at Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park in Fort Greene. See the lineup below.

Along with still offering the general paid ticket, the festival also has an earned ticket program. The earned ticket program, called AFROPUNK ARMY, gives fans the opportunity to volunteer for admittance. To obtain a single general admission weekend pass, fans must complete a minimum of 8 hours of volunteer work. For more details on the earned ticket program and the rest of the festival here.

Later this year AFROPUNK will travel to Johannesburg, South Africa, the theme of this year’s festival is WE THE PEOPLE, a phrase that begins both the American and South African constitutions.
