Black Lips Announce Sean Lennon-Produced New Album; Share New Track

Punk rockers Black Lips have shared the news that they will be releasing their first album in three years. The band’s latest project is titled Satan’s graffiti or God’s art?, due out May 5 on Vice Records, and it was produced by Sean Lennon.

Founding members Cole Alexander and Jared Swilley wanted to get back to their DIY roots so they isolated themselves from the outside world during the recording sessions, and for that they teamed up again with former guitarist Jack Hines (who played in the group from 2002-2004) and recent additions Oakley Munson on drums and Zumi Rosow on saxophone. Some of the features include Saul Adamczewski of Fat White Family and guest vocals by Yoko Ono.

The band also shared the first cut from the new album; hit the jump to hear “Can’t Hold On” and find the album cover art and tracklist.
