#TheDopeness: Things To Do This Weekend (2/8-2/12)

Looking for something to do this weekend? Don’t know exactly what to do yet? Don’t worry, we have you covered and will be giving you our picks to keep in mind for this weekend. There’s no doubt that you might catch some of our staff at one of these events. Check em out below!

Noname – Telefone Tour (2/8 & 2/9) – The Metro: Consider yourself lucky if you were able to purchase a ticket for either one of these shows. I’m pretty sure Noname and Ravyn Lenae will be giving unforgettable performances on both nights at The Metro.

Space Jam @ East Room (2/9): You can’t go wrong with some rap and funk together at East Room.

Perse As Funk: A Live Band Tribute To The Music & Sounds of J. Dilla @ 19East (2/10): In honor of the late, great J. Dilla enjoy the vibes while supporting the J. Dilla Foundation on Friday. The homie, Thelonious Martin will be in attendance and we’re sure he has something up his sleeves for the night.

theWHOevers @ Reggie’s Rock Club (2/10): Vibe out to the theWHOevers on Friday night as they bring along some homies as well! I was able to catch them a few weeks ago at Chop Shop and they threw a hell of a show. This time Solo Sam, Sage, The 64th Wonder and The Highest Low will be joining theWHOevers on stage for what seems like a super dope show. Get your tickets here!

Awdazcate @ Shady Rest (2/10): The homie Awdazcate will be taking over the Digital Meets Analog Beat Series in Pilsen. Make sure to stop by and support!

Sango @ Metro Chicago (2/11): The Soulection artist along with fellow label mate, Monte Booker will be taking over The Metro on Saturday. I’ll definitely be present as I’m a huge Sango and Monte Booker fan. Tickets are still available here!

Chingo Bling, Baby Bash, Kap-G & More @ Portage Theater (2/11): The Portage Theater will be lit for sure when all these homies come and take stage. Tickets are no longer on sale, so if you copped a ticket, consider yourself lucky!

Yonas @ Sub-T (2/11): Here’s another option for Saturday night! Yonas is bound to have a pretty dope show at Sub-T. The New Yorker will be performing alongside local acts Deem and Lucid. Tickets can be purchased here!
