Now this is what you call a dope cover! Julia Jacklin hit up Australia’s triple J and participated in their “Like A Version” segment, where artists perform live covers.
Jacklin and her band played a dreamy rendition of “Someday,” a classic from The Strokes. The slow-churning song turns up the melodies, transforming the iconic early 00s song into a faux-Doo Wop slowdance number. If you’re the type that doesn’t usually like bands changing your favorite tunes, I get the feeling you can still very much appreciate this!
