Recap: Mac Miller’s ‘The Divine Feminine Tour’ in Austin, Texas

Mac Miller

This past Monday I was able to catch Mac Miller’s headlining performance at Emo’s in Austin, TX.

I have listened to Mac Miller’s music for a while now and in that time I have seen him grow as an artist. I will be the first to admit that sometimes I was not initially happy with some of the changes along the way, but eventually I grew to appreciate all of Mac’s work. Seeing him live has always helped grow that appreciation

Monday night’s show had two opening acts, one notably being Miller’s DJ, ClockworkDJ. When the time came for the top billing act to perform, the venue was immediately full of energy from the moment Mac hit stage to the second he vowed out, and the crowd really fed from it throughout that journey. Mac’s performance had a bit of everything, from songs like, “Stay,” “Brand Name,” “Weekend,” and “Watching Movies,” to my recent personal favorite, “Dang!” The end of the show came but the crowd was left wanting more, screaming for an encore. Miller’s final act started with “Diablo” and moved along to tracks like “Nikes on My Feet” and “Knock Knock,” from his fourth mixtape, K.I.D.S. This collection of tracks really made the show for me, being a long-time Mac Miller fan. Seeing Mac perform these songs and love doing so is the kind of stuff that puts a smile on my face.
