Vic Mensa has released his new visuals for his track “16 Shots,” off his 2016 EP There’s A Lot Going On. The music video was directed by Ace Norton and it starts off with dashcam footage of the shooting of Laquan McDonald by Chicago police officers, the song that inspired the song, intercut with scenes of Vic fighting back against the many violent and lethal tactics that police officers have taken against those they’re intended to protect and to serve. Towards the end, there is also an interpretive performance of the 16 shots that took McDonald’s life.
