Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 2017 Nominations Announced: Pearl Jam, Tupac, Jane’s Addiction

The nominees for the 2017 class of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame have been unveiled, featuring new notable new additions Pearl Jam and Tupac Shakur on their first year of eligibility (both of their first records were released in 1991). Also nominated for the first time are Jane’s Addiction, Depeche Mode, Electric Light Orchestra, Bad Brains, and Joan Baez.

Kraftwerk, Janet Jackson, The Cars, MC5, and Journey return with another nomination. Nine Inch Nails and the Smiths are notably excluded from this year’s nomination list despite featuring on the list in the previous two years.

The 2017 inductees will be announced in December; fans can cast their vote on the Rock Hall website. See the full list of nominees below.
