Mick Jenkins Drops ‘The Healing Component’

mick

It’s always a great day when Mick Jenkins decides to drop a new project, or any new music for that matter. Following Wave[s] and Water[s], Mick gives us The Healing Component, a project that showcases the importance of love and optimism. He continues to serve the raw realities of Chicago with a melodic flow, so untouchable. The natural poetic flow of Mick continues to get deeper and more fluid each time over these soothing beats. Every verse serves a vibrant and spirited visualization for the listener.

Mick brings forth other creative minds and artists of Chicago which include the wonderful Noname, Ravyn Lenae, and of course, theMIND & BADBADNOTGOOD. But the talent doesn’t stop there, the album features other individuals with exponential talent. Each track delivers a different vibe, but a message all too similar: Love is the answer.

The track Love, Robert Horry, featuring J-Stock, the Ohio Native whom has worked with as well as been on tour with Mick, is real tough. Definitely an easy favorite, that you may have to run back. But this type of project needs to be played over and over to the point where you get so lost in the music, you find yourself.

&Don’t forget about his Quest for Love Tour, with Smino. Check for dates here.
