Porches visited the SiriusXM Studios recently and while there they played a pretty sweet cover of The Strokes’ “Trying Your Luck.” Without a doubt, this Is This It deep cut is one of my absolute favorites from the band and along with the iconic tracks “Last Nite” and “Someday,” it should definitely be in the top 3 on the album (unless you count “New York City Cops,” as heard on the UK pressing).
Porches put a sweet, New Wave-y spin on the track. It keeps the chore of the song but its different enough to appreciate as its own thing. Hear it below.
