Julian Casablancas – “Venus in Furs” (The Velvet Underground Cover)

HBO Vinyl

As the first season of HBO’s Vinyl wraps up this weekend, today we get the release of its full soundtrack. Among the standouts is Julian Casablancas’s latest take on a Lou Reed/Velvet Underground song. The Strokes lead singer took on VU’s “Venus In Furs” for the soundtrack, which follows up previous covers of tracks like “White Light White Heat” and “Run Run Run.”

Hear JC’s take on “Venus In Furs” below.

Among the other notable inclusions on the soundtrack are Charli XCX’s cover of The Stooges’ “No Fun.”
