Video: Smashing Pumpkins Reunited w/ James Iha in Concert For the First Time in 16 Years

A major moment took place last night in LA when Billy Corgan and his Smashing Pumpkins reunited in concert with founding member James Iha for the first time since their 2000 breakup.

The big surprise included performances of tracks from the band’s 1993 album Siamese Dream, backed by drummer Jimmy Chamberlain, leaving D’arcy Wretzky as the only original member missing from making this a complete reunion. Because it was Iha’s birthday, his former bandmates surprised him with a cake and singing the customary “Happy Birthday” for him with the help of the crowd.
