Video: Learn About the Rise of Chicago’s House and Hardcore Scenes in 1984

In the first installment of Pitchfork.tv’s new five-episode mini-series “Yearbook” we learn about the burgeoning scenes of House and Hardcore music back in 1984. On the House front the episode talks about the importance of DJ Frankie Knuckles’ pioneering work while bands like Big Black and Naked Raygun paved the way for Chicago’s own unique take on hardcore.
