Iggy Pop visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night as the musical guest, giving a live debut to his latest track “Gardenia” from Post Pop DepressionThe performance was not only special because the Punk legend had the record’s producer, Josh Homme (of Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal) on hand, but the rest of his backing band was made up by Dean Fertita and Troy Van Leeuwen (also of QOTSA), Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders, and Chavez’s Matt Sweeney.

Earlier in the show Pop and Homme sat and chatted with Colbert about the new project. The collaborators talked about being roomies, which Homme elaborated on by saying: “to see him in a kimono is … it’s just enough to leave something to the imagination. And I’ve got a really good imagination.”
