Box Set for First Punk Label, ‘Ork Records: New York, New York’ feat. Television, Richard Hell, Will Be Released 10/30

Earlier this year Numero Group brought to Record Store Day 2015 a real gem with Ork Records: New York, New York, a compilation of one of the most influential indie record labels of all time. Now the box set will be made available for purchase once more.

Relive the story (told across 2 CD or 4 LPs) of the world’s first punk record label Ork Records, which brought debut 45s by Television and Richard Hell, along with iconic recordings by the Feelies and legendary rock critic Lester Bangs, putting on wax the birth of New York Punk Rock.

This boxed set comes with an incredible book featuring some of the greatest photographs of the era between 1975-1979 and showcased across 190 high-gloss pages. For anyone who considers themselves fans of Punk, this is undoubtedly a must-have for your record collection.

Order the Ork Records: New York, New York box set over at the Numero Group website ahead of its October 30 release. Check out a teaser video on the history of Ork Records above.
