Video: Chance The Rapper/The Social Experiment Short Film – ‘SoXDay’ Dir. by Austin Vesely

Happy SoXDay!

Our dude Austin Vesely connected once more with Chicago Great Chance The Rapper for SoXDay, a short film chronicling what it’s like to be on tour with Chano and his band the Social Experiment. Here we get to see all that goes on for the 23 hours in the day when they’re not on stage.

The backing act consists of Donnie Trumpet, Peter Cottontale, Stix, Nate Fox(‘s back) and Macie Stewart. It’s cool seeing Chance work with the crew as they prepare the lighting for the show as well as his commanding toast for his tour manager, but it’s the comedic parts, like the “TMZ moment” and the post-show conference, that make this entertaining.

The concert footage is particularly jarring though; the view from the stage and onto the crowd was an awesome reminder of just how much he’s grown in his still very short, ongoing career.

This only helps build the anticipation for Surf; coming soon. Shout-out to AV!
