Weeks ago news got out that Arcade Fire’s Will Butler was set to release a solo album and today we get the project’s lead single, “Take My Side.” The music is in the spirit of Chuck Berry, with a vibrant jangly guitar riff at the center of it. It is not like any of the artsy music heard on Arcade Fire’s recent albums; it’s a bit like if Funeral came from a lighter place than it actually does.
