Ty Segall released one of the most remarkable albums of the year with his solo effort Manipulator, but now it’s been announced that the guitar god will be putting out a new album as part of the Ty Segall Band. The group is made up of Segall, Mikal Cronin, Emily Rose Epstein, and Charles Moothart, and the new album is titled Live in San Francisco. The LP is due out January 26 on Castle Face Recors and it was recorded at San Francisco’s Rickshaw Stop venue.
The first cut from this project is “What’s Inside Your Heart,”an excellent representation of rock guitar badass-ery. It instantly made me wish I was at this show head banging in the front row. Hear it below.
